Has COVID Lockdown Killed My Love of Readathons?
Of all the things that COVID Lockdown has changed, I didn't expect my love of readathons to be impacted. But it's not just dulled the anticipatory joy, it's erased it entirely. Right book, wrong format?
I just finished this book, These Ghosts Are Family by Maisy Card, and I wonder if I made a mistake. Did I pick the wrong format for this book? Whenever I read a book with colloquial dialect or another form of dialogue that would be enhanced by audio format, I will seek that out from my public library. Never in a million years- BBC Radio 4 Book Club
Every once in a while, I will get an odd message in my Instagram DMs. Most are odd in a bad sense, but this one seemed almost too good to be true. Welcome to my new site!
It's a new year and seems like a good time to make some changes. One of the changes I have wanted to make for a while is to move my repository of reading stats off Goodreads and onto the new platform StoryGraph. There are a few reasons for this change. I want to minimize my engagement with Amazon companies as much as I can, and it seems silly for me to make my reviews available for Goodreads (and therefore) Amazon to productize.
